For the past 4 nights Charles has slept through the entire night, from 8ish to 7:30am. I titled this blog post "At least someone's getting some sleep" because you would think that if baby sleeps, mom and dad must sleep through the night too... well, you're wrong. I keep waking up anticipating him waking up... I look at the monitor in amazement each time I wake up and he's still asleep. I'm glad that he is able to sleep longer at night now, I'm sure we'll get used to it very soon! Our night routine goes like this, we put him down after his 7pm feeding, he usually hits the sack around 7:45pm. We still do a "dream feed" at 10pm that Paul has graciously taken over so I could go to bed around 9pm(although, this may be coming to an end soon as I don't have to get up in the middle of the night anymore). Last night Paul took some shots of Charles before and after the 10pm feeding.
Here's the precious little guy sound asleep before the feeding:
Yes, he sleeps on a little pillow... it's the only way we could get him to sleep for more than an hour in the beginning. As soon as he starts to show signs of being able to roll over I'm going to remove the pillow and stop swaddling. For now, the pillow is a life saver!
Our little man can stuff away some formula... last night he ate 7 ounces at 10pm and he ate 8 ounces this morning around 7:30am. Paul says it's like his stomach deflates, just take a look at this belly!!!
Today his Aunt Erin and Aunt Caitlyn are visiting from Augusta for the night. I'm sure that this little guy will be WORN OUT after all the fun places we'll take him.
